This is a very good ending for a quite disappointing series. Enough action, enough drama, enough suspense. Overall I'd say Devil May Cry is a good series to watch for those who have the time. Non-gamers need not worry, as very few game references were included in the anime.

I'll make this short. I'm giving EP 12 a hundred percent! Thank you for watching this series! No wait -- thanks for watching Dante!!

Episode Rating:

Memorable Quote from the final Episode: Such an outstanding man. Will there be two in the world? -- Dante, referring to himself.

This episode is not the most exciting in the series but since it's the eleventh installment the animators have to put in "jump-to-the-shark" scenes. To tell you honestly, I was really disappointed in this adaptation, although I am the one at fault here for expecting that the story will be close to the gameplay.

On another note, Episode 11 has the usual action and mystery elements. Here Patty meets her mother for the first time, but the background behind their separation wasn't explored. The animation was as fluid and as smooth as ever, the music varied from rock to classic and the sequence was very-well arranged. Instead of the usual ending MV, there was a short and soundless preview of the final episode.

Episode Rating:

Memorable Quote from Episode 11: The hotel's rules? Or a hole in your face? Which do you prefer? -- Dante.

Since there are only two episodes left in Devil May Cry, I thought of adding a new series on my current watchlist, however there isn't any title worth watching this season. If you can recommend some, I'd like to hear from you. ^_^

On the other hand, ep 10 is rather disappointing. I thought this will stretch on until the final episode but in the end it was just another "short story". Although it's natural for one to side with the protagonist, having him win all the time is actually boring. Trish and Lady made small appearances too. I thought something special was about to happen. Well, obviously I thought wrong.

Episode Rating:

Memorable Quote from Episode 10: I have to fight when people want to fight me. That's the only reason I fight. -- Dante.

This is an interesting episode, although it's predictable because few characters played in it. The poker-theme perfectly suits that other side of Dante: bold and careless. I also liked Patty's involvement in the major scenes. Finally, she was given due notice.

Lady seemed a bit out of place though. Her character is too powerful and sophisticated to give her a secondary role in episode 9. I think she even delivered fewer lines than Morrison. Tsk.

EP 9 gets a 95 %

Episode Rating:

Memorable Quote from Episode 9: Gambling is similar to sickness. But one distinctive difference is that there is no medicine for gambling -- Dante.

The quality of the video is amazing. It's been a while since I've seen a good fansub release of this title. I love the colors, especially Dante's blue eyes.

I'm quite disappointed by this episode though. It was entertaining, yes, but I kind of expected a development in the overall story since we're halfway there: just seven more episodes. Anyway, let's just wait and see right?

Just one question: was Dante really Tony?

Episode Rating:

Memorable Quote from Episode 8: Compared to devils, humans are more fearsome -- the playful demon.
